|SURRENDER YOUR BOXER|
|We understand that surrendering your Boxer is an extremely difficult decision. If you are still undecided, please contact us for advice or suggestions that you may not have considered. You can call us at (855) 4-A-Boxer. Please leave a message and someone will return your call promptly. You can also email us at NewLifeBoxerRescue@yahoo.com.
STEP 1 - If you are ready to move forward with the surrender, please complete our online INTAKE QUESTIONNAIRE. The more information that you provide to us regarding your Boxer, the better equipped we will be in finding them the best possible forever home. Once your Intake Questionnaire has been received by NLBR, someone will get back to you within 24 hours. If you have not heard back from an NLBR representative within 24 hours, please send an email to our INTAKE COORDINATOR.
STEP 2 - When your Boxer has been accepted into our Foster Program, we will make arrangements to transport him or her to their new foster home. Any help that you can offer in the transport process would be greatly appreciated. We have foster homes all over the northeast and your Boxer will be placed in a foster home according to availability and not geographic location. Transports are generally a combination of several driving legs, with each leg consisting of approximately 60 miles. Your assistance in covering the first and hopefully second leg would be extremely helpful to the volunteers involved in the transport.
When you meet with the designated NLBR volunteer for the transfer, please have the following items with you-
-Collar and Leash
-Medications (Including heartworm, flea & tick preventative, etc)
-Completed and signed (2 Copies) SURRENDER AGREEMENT
-Copies of all paperwork pertaining to your dog (vet, breeder, shelter, etc)
-Personal items (blanket, toys, etc) to help ease the stress of the transition
STEP 3 - If you would like to know your Boxer’s status in the rescue process, please check the AVAILABLE DOGS page of our website for regular updates from their foster home. Once your Boxer has been adopted, their new family will provide additional updates that will be posted to the HAPPY TAILS page of our website. Although we understand that you will be anxious to know their progress, please try to refrain from calling or emailing the group for updates. Our volunteers are extremely busy trying to find homes for all of our Boxers and would greatly appreciate your help in the process. Thanks so much!
