My Story

07/25/2014

Since adopting Belle she has filled out some but still needs to put on weight. On a good day she will eat 3X per day and takes her medicine with each meal. Belle continues to be a little princess. She is a fussy eater that requires many different types of food at all times. She has her own little pet store at home.

Belle gets along with all the fosters who stay with us and loves all the play time. She is a happy little girl who gets whatever she wants especially when it comes to food. Belle fits right in with her two boxer brothers and knows that she is “special”.  Belle continues to be a joy to our family and loves when she goes to visit grandma and her other boxer buddies in PA.

Let me start off by saying Bell is truly a treasure. She has all the typical boxer qualities that we all know and love wrapped up in the most petite body. But don't let her size fool you, she has plenty of energy and plenty of spunk. :)) She loves to chase after a tennis ball and will follow and chase and try to take away the soccer ball while my daughter is kicking it for her. She is silly and does a lot of jumping and springing and bounding. She looks like a bunny hopping thru the yard. Bell is also a cuddle bug and loves to curl up next to you while your reading or watching TV. She really is a people person and loves to be around you. She is also very sweet and of course adorable!

Recently, Bell had surgery to remove a lump in her leg, her lab results indicate that the surgeon got clean margins with no cancer in them. Bell has been put on Neoplasene and supplements to support her as she recovers. She is underweight and we are trying hard to get her up to an optimum weight for her size and age.

Once Bell is given the all clear, she will be a great addition to any family. She is crate trained, house broken, likes to play with toys, is good with other dogs, good with children and an all around great girl.

Bell is a really good girl.  She loves people, she likes other dogs, she's very sweet and loving.  She likes to chase a ball outside and spend time with you.  She is good in the car and is super friendly to all she meets.  She lacks some basic manners but because she is so petite she is quite manageable.  She sleeps thru the night in her crate and is house broken.  She's pretty confident and likes to be near you but will take a nap in the other room or nearby.  I don't find her to be clingy or demanding. She's most happy simply being around you and involved in your regular home life.  I think she would do well in any placement but just like every pooch, the right family is out there for her............so hopefully soon she will be sent home to start her new life with them.............maybe that's you!
