Vegas

The holidays are approaching and Vegas would love a family to call his own. Vegas continues to show us more of his personality.  I was sitting on the couch with Sookie and Jack in front of me and Vegas wanted to be by me. The coffee table and dogs were in the way so what did he do, he jumped over both dogs and made a smooth landing on the couch. This boy can jump! Did I mention how smart he is? We have woods behind our house and he has learned from watching the other dogs to do his business there. He now goes in one area. He loves treats and is willing to do anything for a reward.  We gave them bully bones for their Thanksgiving desert and while the other three had theirs gone in no time, he wasn't even half way done with his. He took his time and savored every bite!  He is learning down, and to wait until I go out the door first. He loves to play with the youngest dog in our home although sometimes they play too rough and I have to referee!  He does stop when I tell them enough. He is such a love that any family who adopts him will be very lucky.

If you are looking for a happy go lucky friend to go for a walk when you want to walk, hang out with you and watch TV, or to clean the kitchen floor when you are cooking , you can stop looking because Vegas is waiting for you. This boy is a pleasure to foster and has fit in our family like he has been with us forever. He is calm, loving and an all around great guy. He is happy to be with you or he can entertain himself. He is gaining weight and has a very healthy appetite. He goes in his crate at night and settles right down. I like to sleep a little later on weekends and so will he, during the week I am up early and he is too. He is such a character, he lies on his back and pedals his front and back legs, almost like he is riding a bike, while balancing a rope toy in his mouth. He loves people and he is great with company coming to visit; he wags his tail and gently says hi. We went for a walk and our neighbor came out to say hi and to meet Vegas, he happily accepted the petting and attention. I think he will be great with kids so I am going to borrow a friend’s child and see how he does. All he wants is to be loved and in return I can promise you a loving and devoted friend.

Vegas arrived on Sat 11/6 on a transport from Kentucky. Vegas is very skinny and needs to gain a little weight but he loves to eat so that should be no problem.  He is great on a leash and will let you know when he has to go out. He knows sit, is crate trained and takes correction very well. He is getting along with my crew and learning the routine. He is a wonderful dog who is calm and loving. As we learn more I will keep you updated
